Our members

CDSA members are organizations that provide services and supports to Californians with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). They are funded primarily by Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and coordinated through regional centers. But to their own communities, CDSA members are so much more. Disability services change lives for more than 400,000 individuals and families across the state. Our members deliver broad range of support services that promote independence and community access, including:

  • Behavior Management
  • Day Programs
  • Early Childhood
  • Employment
  • Independent and Supported Living
  • Residential
  • Respite
  • Transportation

Our membership is the most diverse of any IDD service provider association in California. CDSA represents a variety of regions, service types, and organizational sizes and structures. Our members bring a wide range of experiences and priorities. We offer a balanced perspective in our public policy and advocacy work.

IDD service providers join CDSA because they are invested in providing the best services and supports possible. Our members take seriously their roles as leaders in their own communities and as part of the larger IDD community. Their professionalism and integrity fosters open communication and collaboration. We take pride in a welcoming association culture, where members support each other.

Barry and members were welcoming and helpful right away when I sought advice on a project I was working on. Members of CDSA have been around for a really long time. They’re well connected and well respected, something I was able to plug into right away. – Garrett Broadbent, CEO, Creative Living Options
